In addition to his dental training Parrott was a merchant, businessman, consult to Mexico (1834-1836) and confidential U.S. agent to Mexico during 1845-1848, the period of the Mexican-American War.  This 72 page booklet was the first separate publication on dentistry printed in Mexico.
